Lost in Interpretation

March 15th, 2007 by countrykidmike

why is it that my actions are always
being misinterpreted as something
deeper when in fact it is the most
shallow of all shallowness???

i care. that’s what i do.and sometimes
i care too much to the point that i do
actually put pain to the person i
cared about.

and its wrong… and i knew it..but
too late..

..and yeah speaking of care,i am
concern to my friends.. and that
doesn’t mean that im GAY if im concern
to a guy. Got it?

same thing with girls. it doesn’t mean
i have a feeling for a particular
person if im concern to her..got it?

but then again naive and loner as i
am,i guess i don’t know much about
friendship and that i have sooo much
to learn…

i received a comment couple of days
back that a friend of mine thought i
went extreme because she thought i
treated her like a girlfriend(besides
the fact that she’s a girl and a
friend) because im too protective
daw.well,that’s according to her.

(for the record im not being over-
protective. sometimes a friend just
see the pain before it drops and its
his instinct to protect the other.not
that he doen’t want that friend to
learn on her/his own experience.its
just that sometimes there are things
that u dont have to experience in
order to learn.)

well, its not what actually is in my
mind.but then again i got lost in
interpretation…

and so lessons learned,…

The Fact of Pre-Marital Sex on Women

March 4th, 2007 by countrykidmike

besides biblical point,here’s an
interesting fact i found n having pre-
marital sex:

"It’s important to understand that
when a woman has sex, she releases
oxytocin and bonds with her partner.
Oxytocin is called the "snuggle
chemical." It triggers orgasm, but
it’s also released when a mother
breast-feeds. It makes you feel close
and connected and vulnerable. The
effects of oxytocin are offset by
testosterone, so a high-testosterone
person doesn’t bond from having sex.
And there you have it: Bad boys don’t
get attached! They say all these
wonderful things, and you get this
chemical rush that lowers your
defenses. But he could be gone the
next day. He could lose interest."

So,no matter how u gals deny that its
ok to have pre-marital sex nad it has
no effect psychologically,well,wait
until u and ur boyfriend breaks up…

by then u started to live life as if
forgetting yesterday but each night
constantly battling the guilt inside
of you…u feel connected and its a
fact!!!!

and that’s the reason why sex is
designed for marriage casue im telling
you,conscience and guilt could kill
you slowly!!!!

DATING = PROSTITUTION

March 4th, 2007 by countrykidmike

i stumble into this article that  dating back then in the 1900 heydays  was actually synonymous for  prostitution…

and as i ponder it today, still is  actually (with few exceptions).

this is how i came out with this  thinking:  i observed a lot of my guy-friends and  girl-friends anfd most of them hooked  up on the opposite sex.  what i observed is that most guys do  actually spent more money and time on  dating not because they love the girl  but because there’s something in her  that they want…

noticed ladies how, when a guy treats u  out(assuming ur lovers  already),especially in a movie, that he  always lean for a kiss? and that kiss  would eventually lead to caressing  your boobs and touching what’s behind  the panties…

or as ur relationship comes longer  enuf the guy would eventually ask for  a sex. or some smart guys don’t ask  actually(it would be dumb to  ask)..what they do is led u into a  situation where u will emotionally  fall and have some erotica moment.and  then u dont even realized it,it  happened..

and also there are some girls who, myt  not like the idea of sex in a bf-gf  relationship but then feel pressure to  do so because they think its love and  that they’re doing a favor to their  boyfriend…  ..

doing a favor in return of what their boyfriend did for them…ring a bell? well, that is actually the definition of prostitution.

Well here’s another course:

or somegirls may jump into it  because she will rationalize THAT in  todays culture its acceptable…

well no matter how acceptable it is,if its wrong then guilt will still haunts u if ever ur human enough to have a conscience…

THE REAL EMO PART TWO

February 27th, 2007 by countrykidmike

plus whoever invented that
hairstyle?…

lot of people thought when u got that
kind of hairstyle ur emo…and yeah i
see lots of kids like this (im even a
kid myself) who dress black with a
print MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE and wear
their hair like the drummer of
UNDEROATH and then they call
themselves emo…and when ask what
does Reinventing Your Exit by
Underoath means and why it is EMO,they
dont even know…they cannot tell
you..Why? becasue these kids are not
really emo,they’re just being
victimized by todays trend (which is
de to media) and we kids wanna be
cool..we don’t wanna be outdated..

that’s why u can see my peers today in
the mall dress like Eminem(hiphop)
pretending they can relate to him and
doesnt even know how to rap..

or dress like UNDEROATH and doesnt
even know what their songs mean..

lets face it folks, EMO is not define
by looks or infact no music should b
defined by looks…i mean music is
music…

MU CHEMICAL ROMANCE is a great emo
punk rock and DASHBOARD is emo
acoustic but looking at their
publicity photos they doesn’t look
like EMO at all,,, i respect band like
these who doesn’t comform to what the
label told them…

and Ryan Adams and Jack Ingram are
very country but they look like EMO
kids than My Chemical Romance…

lets give music a chance to b what it
is…

and i dont care if u dress like
underoath or eminem or tim mcgraw or
even dress like *NSYNC(are they still
alive?) for as long as ur comfortable
and NOT BECOZ U WANNA BE THE NEXT BIG
FREAK !!!

THE REAL EMO PART ONE…

February 27th, 2007 by countrykidmike

i dunno what’s wrong with today’s
major label a.k.a. THE BIG FOUR
(EMI,MCA-UNIVERSAL,WARNER,SONU-BMG).
i mean they really lost it…

back then in the 90’s when grunge
music was popular suddenly they’re
marketing bands like Matchbox Twenty
(WARNER),SISTER HAZEL(sonybmg),etc as
grunge when these bands doesn’t even
qualify to grunge lyrically and even
musically (cmon we all know SISTER
HAZEL is a folk rock band,…
..and now they never change…

marketing people are really out of
their mind..they don’t even know what
music really is..

Take a look at the RnB chart. Almost
everything with programmed
beats, hype, and a little rap is in the
RnB category to the point that drum
and bass song "My Humps by Black Eyed
Peas is considered or marketed as
RnB…WHAT???? !!! God help us all..we
must be either tone deaf or we doesnt
really know what RnB is…

true enough their are real RnB artists
today that incorporate hiphop and
popin their sounds (e.g.
Ashnati,aaliyah,Kyla,Alicia Keys,Craig
David)

But to call Promiscuous Girl and My
Hump rnb? give ua a break!!!! Nelly
furtado is not even an RnB singer (for
all u info she’s a folk singer from
canada but somehow made a hiphop/drum
& bass album,not RNB)…

and here comes the nice part…

EMO music or emotional rock is
suddenly rising nowadays for some
unknown reason.

but back in the late 80’s and the
90’s,this genre is unknown to the
masses..only those underground
alternative rock fans knew this type
of music.( and yes, there are some emo
in the 90’s that’s marketed as
grunge…funny isnt it?)

u might recognize names like Blue
October, Pedro The Lion, Jimmy Eat
World,Bright Eyes,Switchfoot..these
are bands in the 90’s with deep
emotional lyrics and also uses emotion
in thier performances…

..but here’s the catch, switchfoot is
not considered emo during the
90’s..heck,nobody even knows they
existed..

..but now,they’re being marketed by
SONY as emo-rock (maybe due to their
hair) and yes jon forman does sing
with emotion but compare their lyrics
today than their lyrics before…which
is more emo?

..and the Wiki also define emo as a
subgenre of punk rock but really if u
come to realize it Bright Eyes is not
even Punk Rock..Dashboard Confessional)
Chris Carraba) maybe fronting a
Christian punk band FURTHER SEEMS
FOREVER but his Dashboard project is
really far from punk. he even admit
that during spaces between FURTHER
SEEMS FOREVER TOUR he sits down in his
bedroom and recorded what would become
as the first DASHBOARD project because
he didn’t feel it fit to his punk band.

..and that was the beginning of what
we now call as commercial EMO..but
dont get me wrong, dashboard was not
making that side project for
commercial purposes.its like his audio
diary but somehow it was
different, while the EMO’s of the late
80’s and 90’s deal with darker themes,
dashboard deals with pain but also
with coping up.in other words,his
sound is in the positive light (no
wonder,He’s a christian and christians
have joy even in pain).

and then as kids noticed him, major
label begun looking for band that
sounds like either Dashboard or
Further and marketed them as emo.

one example is Fall Out Boy.when they
started emo was not even on their
mind. They were just plain hardcore
and punk rock band but somehow the
label considered them emo..and so they
released their first major album which
until now i cannot still understand
why it is emo.i just can’t feel the
honesty and emotion.

The only band i can think of that
major label gt bullseye is MY CHEMICAL
ROMANCe…i may not understand some of
their lyrics as they sing but as i
read them, its really emo… plus
their performance is emo too…

truth is EMO should not be stereotyped
as punk rock ssubgenre becasue i know
a lot of artists that are EMO as can
get,both lyrcally and in performance.
examples are:
Andrew Osenga,Nickel Creek,Bright
Eyes,Griffin House,

but if u wanna hear real emo, then one
artist comes to mind…HANK WILLIAMS.

FEED MY COUNTRIFIED SOUL

February 25th, 2007 by countrykidmike

Lately i’ve been listening to aother genre than country and it struck me how we can connect those genre(rnb, punk, hiphop, jazz) into country music…

i mean look at ryan adams,he breaks boundaries when he incorporated punk into his country.

Look at Bright Eyes’ emo folk incorporated country…

Look at Jars of Clay’s alternative rock incorporated country…

Look at Cowboy Troy and Chance’s hiphop incorporated country…

Bon Jovi’s rock incorporated country…

Leann Rimes’ pop incorporated country…

and of course there’s the MUZIK MAFIA’s RnB incorporated country…

i mean the lists could go on…

what im trying to say is why stereotype?

Heck, its just music and as long as its not crap (like rachelle ann go or william hung),then i think our ears can handle it..

…But then again in this corrupt society crappy stuffs are getting more airplay than the real one…

u dont have to believe me,all u have to do is listen to the radio and hear songs about CIRCLES (lingin).:-)

P.S.

im not bias in country music by the way. u might think i am but im not. truth is there are lots of country crap out there…

or ur mad because unawarely(there such a word?),ur just like them?

i’ve seen people like these and to tell u,from the outside looking in,its a funny look yet i pity them…
